Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a STEM-related field.
• Some college courses required.
• 5 years' experience in construction or project management or equivalent.
• Knowledge of municipal government operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager for a wide array of Department projects.
• Assist with processing invoices and financial tracking.
• Research and write on City codes related to roads, utilities and development.
• Assist in drafting legislation for proposed projects.
• Develop capital improvement plans and related CIP components.
• Prepare bid documents and process payments.
• Occasionally conduct utility locates and inspections support.
• Provide back-up support for the Permit Technician with inspections.
• Prepare procurement documents (IFB, RFP, etc.).
• Serve as ADA Coordinator for the Department.
• Support emergency response efforts.
• Other duties as assigned by Public Works Director/City Engineer.
