Job summary

Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility in Anchorage is seeking a Capital Program Manager who will supervise the Project Management section staff, coordinate design through construction for capital projects, and provide technical direction. Strong civil design and construction management experience is required.

The role requires a civil engineering degree, 5+ years of experience or a master’s substitute, Alaska PE license, and a valid Alaska driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for the experience on a year for year basis.
• Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
• Registered as a professional engineer in the State of Alaska at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan work, prioritize, assign, review, and technical direction of Project Management staff.
• Manage all design through construction phases of Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility capital improvement projects including construction negotiations and claims disposition.
• Strong background in civil design and construction management.
• Ability to function under limited supervision and manage multiple projects and tasks.
