Job summary

The City of Delaware, OH seeks a Project Engineer I–III to provide professional engineering support for capital transportation and utility initiatives. You will assist with plan reviews, bid documents, and construction management while coordinating with consultants and city staff to ensure compliance with standards.

Roles range from project oversight to team leadership, with opportunities to manage budgets, schedules, and grant-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 0–5 years of experience for Project Engineer I; EI/EIT with PE licensure potential.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and insurability under city policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-complex capital projects including plan review, bid docs, bidding and contract awards.
• Support construction management, inspection, and project close-out activities.
• Coordinate with consultants, review development plans for compliance with standards.
