Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible engineering or related experience; two years in supervisory/management roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates professional engineering staff, including performance evaluations and training needs.
• Oversees design and work activities of capital projects, coordinating staff, consultants, contractors, budgets, costs, and schedules.
• Oversees construction projects, approves invoices, and approves schedules and methods of construction.
• Prepares and reviews engineering reports and city memos for contract approvals and change orders.
• Manages annual streets O&M and capital budgets and supports capital improvement projects.
• Acts as designated Project Engineer for state and federally funded street projects, ensuring compliance with budgets and wage rules.
