Job summary

The Town of Clarkdale seeks a dedicated Public Works Maintenance Worker to support parks, roads and facilities. This full‑time role involves physical tasks, CDL is preferred, and operation of a range of equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, irrigation, sign installation and event support, with a focus on safety and accurate record‑keeping in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is the minimum education required.
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license or ability to transfer.
• CDL preferred; or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Fingerprint card and AZ Department of Agriculture Certified Applicator License within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the organization and operations of the Public Works Operations Department.
• Mow, apply herbicides for weed control and maintain cemetery, parks, open spaces and rights‑of‑way.
• Maintain sprinkler systems, install lines and heads.
• Operate tractors, mowers, backhoes and other equipment as needed.
• Install and maintain street signs and road markings.
• Document and maintain accurate records of work completed.
