Job summary

The Town of Clarkdale is seeking a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker to perform skilled and technical tasks related to the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of our town facilities, roads, and parks. CDL is preferred, with a requirement to obtain one if not held, and a valid Arizona driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

Work includes CDL-eligible vehicle operation, building maintenance, grounds care, and participation in events and park programs.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or GED; combination of education/experience acceptable.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (or able to transfer an out-of-state license) with excellent driving record.
Commercial Driver License (CDL) preferred; or ability to obtain CDL within six months of hire.
Fingerprint card and AZ Dept. of Agriculture Certified Applicator License required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain Town buildings, roads, grounds, cemeteries, parks and recreation systems.
Perform routine building maintenance, painting, plumbing, carpentry and minor trades.
Patches roads, repairs drainage, installs and maintains street signs and site features.
Assist in construction of new parks facilities and event setups.
Perform custodial duties and ensure safety and cleanliness of facilities.
