Job summary

The City of Lynwood is seeking a part-time/at-will Maintenance Worker to help maintain and beautify City streets, parks, landscaped areas, and facilities under general supervision. The role includes operating city vehicles, using tools, and performing restoration tasks with safety in mind.

Working hours are irregular, shifts may include weekends, and part-time status means no City benefits. Applicants must be capable of heavy labor and driving as required by the Public Works Department.

Qualifications

• One year of prior experience performing heavy laboring tasks.
• Ability to operate manual and power tools safely.
• Valid California driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work irregular hours and in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain city streets, parks, and facilities.
• Operate City vehicles and light trucks.
• Perform graffiti removal, painting, and restoration.
• Assist with special events and storm-related debris cleanup.
