Job summary

Public Works in Gladstone, MO is seeking a PW Maintenance Worker Water to perform maintenance on streets, water mains, and related infrastructure. You will operate heavy equipment under supervision and respond to on-call duties with a 30-minute ETA.

Qualifications

• Specialized training in the field is required.
• Apprenticeship or 1–2 years of similar experience.
• Valid Missouri driver's license or ability to obtain.
• CDL Class B with air brake and tank endorsements within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install and maintain streets including pavement, curbs and sidewalks.
• Maintain public right of way including mowing, weed spraying, trash collection.
• Install and maintain street signage.
• Maintain streetlights and traffic signals.
• Assist in snow and ice removal; repair water mains, valves, hydrants, meters.
• Repair sanitary sewers, manholes, lift stations and appurtenances.
• Restore rights of way and property; perform concrete and asphalt repairs.
• Serve on call with 30-minute response; snow/ice operations.
• Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders, excavators, bucket trucks, dump trucks, boom mowers) under supervision.
• Build positive working relationships with coworkers and the public.
• Foster honesty, diversity, integrity, trust and respect.
• Regular attendance.
