Job summary

The City of Gladstone, Missouri, is seeking a full-time P-Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance on city parks, facilities and grounds. You will inspect, clean, repair and prepare fields, courts and equipment for events, including handling light machinery and basic carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities include supporting special events, supervising seasonal staff, and possible on-call duties with a 45-minute response time to City limits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Must obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tank endorsements within 6 months. Free training provided.
• Must be willing to work on-call and weekend shifts.
• Available to work evenings, early mornings and weekends, as needed.

• Removes snow, ice and debris from severe weather manually and/or using heavy equipment.

Job Operations:

• Inspects and maintains City parks, grounds and facilities.
• Assists in the preparation and administration of the City's outdoor recreation programs.
• Maintains and prepares fields, courts and athletic equipment for sporting events.

• Changes scoreboard lights.
