Job summary

City of El Dorado, Kansas seeks an entry-level Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department to keep streets, alleys and related infrastructure in good repair. The role includes signs, markings, and drainage work under supervision.

The position typically works four ten-hour days (Mon–Thu). Starting pay is $17.45 per hour, with benefits eligibility after initial period. CDL requirements apply within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with on-the-job training.
• Possession of Kansas Driver's License; ability to obtain Class B CDL within 90 days.
• Safety-minded, reliable, and able to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain streets, alleys, parking lots, and storm drainage areas.
• Respond to supervisor requests promptly and accurately.
• Install and maintain city signs, road markings, striping, and delineators; paint street lines and crosswalks.
• Perform concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, and ramp installation and repair.
