Job summary

IBTS seeks a Public Works Supervisor in Louisiana to coordinate daily field activities for streets, drainage, and right-of-way projects. You will manage crews, liaise with homeowners, and ensure work complies with city standards and MS4 requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and safety oversight, with responsibilities including inspection, resource allocation, and back-up support for the Public Works Director. A valid license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of related public works and field supervision experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Public Works field crews and staff.
• Allocate resources, schedule work, and ensure timely project completion.
• Inspect sites for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as back-up to Public Works Director when needed.
• Coordinate maintenance of streets, drainage, and right-of-way infrastructure.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure contract compliance.
• Manage equipment, tools, and fleet assets with the Director.
