Job summary

City of Memphis is seeking an IT professional to monitor and manage service centers’ network, systems software, and data management programs. This role coordinates GIS-based location tracking and IT systems at treatment plants, and works with IS on projects and implementations.

A bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field and five years’ experience in software applications or project management are required; Tennessee driver’s license is mandatory; government IT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or closely related field with five years of professional experience in IT applications or project management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage service centers’ network, systems software, and data management programs.
• Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to track employee/vendor locations.
• Oversee IT systems at treatment plants (CMMS, DCS, EDS, WIMS) and coordinate IS projects and system implementations.
• Create reports, dashboards, and queries from databases as requested by management.
