Job summary

City of Delano is seeking an experienced civil engineer to perform administrative and design work for capital improvements and services. You will conduct public works construction inspections, maintain records, and ensure contractor payments align with plans and specifications for land development projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating field staff, reviewing standards, overseeing testing, and conducting plan reviews for infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Two years progressive public works inspection experience and two years civil engineering design experience.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and civil engineering design work for capital improvements.
• Conduct public works construction field inspections and prepare payment estimates.
• Review plans and specifications for land development projects.
• Coordinate review of infrastructure plans with other disciplines.
• Provide lead direction and training to assigned staff.
