Job summary

The City of Prescott is seeking a GIS Specialist in the Public Works emphasis within the Information Technology Department. The role focuses on maintaining GIS data for sewer, water, stormwater, and pavement networks, providing support for the EAM system, and generating maps for project deliverables.

The ideal candidate has experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and data analysis, with a preference for GIS, Engineering, Geography degrees or related education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; GIS/related degree preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience is desirable; internships or coursework may qualify.
• Knowledge of public works infrastructure and asset management concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance GIS data for sewer, water, stormwater, and pavement networks.
• Support staff using the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
• Prepare maps, figures, and data for official reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with staff and contractors on field data collection using ArcGIS apps.
• Develop and maintain GIS web applications and documentation.
