Job summary

El Paso County's Department of Public Works seeks a knowledgeable Fleet Supervisor to lead daily operations of a diverse fleet, ensuring vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and available for county services.

You will supervise maintenance staff, manage preventive maintenance programs, analyze fleet performance data, and work with internal departments and vendors to improve efficiency and lifecycle of assets.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in maintenance and repair of light to heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Strong supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSR and fleet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff, provide coaching and evaluations.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and repair standards.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSR and fleet procedures.
• Coordinate with departments, vendors and budgeting.
• Maintain maintenance records and EMS garage checks.
