Bexar County PA is hiring an Automotive Mechanic to perform general mechanical work on fleet vehicles. You will diagnose issues using computer analyzers and testers, conduct inspections, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.

The role requires knowledge of engine, brake, electrical, and cooling systems, with duties including installing equipment, performing state inspections, and road testing for safety and performance. A valid Texas driver’s license is needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years automotive mechanic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computerized engine test equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, cooling and exhaust systems.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts testing and diagnostic work on mechanical, electrical and other systems.
• Removes and replaces defective vehicle parts and repair parts as needed.
• Performs brake system repairs and replacement of components.
• Tunes engines, changes oil, and lubricates as required.
• Performs state inspections and transmission service.
• Maintains and repairs coolant systems and lighting/electrical components.
• Road tests vehicles to ensure safe operation and performance.
