Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of knowledge and expertise.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Vaccinations recommended: tetanus and others as appropriate.
• Experience in Public Works construction or maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate typical Public Works equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignments and determine materials and methods.
• Operate light to heavy equipment for daily operations and snow removal.
• Paint and repair Public Works equipment, assets, and buildings.
• Install and maintain Public Works utilities; perform cement work or asphalt spreading.
• Install curbing, catch basins, manholes, and drainage structures; adjust grades.
• Perform tasks of a laborer or skilled laborer as needed.
