Job summary

The Construction Inspector at Cedarville Engineering Group operates primarily in field settings, inspecting municipal and private sector projects to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods; laws, standards and regulations related to construction, inspection, safety and traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work in the field as a quality assurance representative.
• Review plans for constructability and clarity and provide recommendations.
• Review escrow releases and as-built drawings for consistency with field conditions.
• Prepare and deliver Construction Inspection Reports to clients.
• Meet with township officials, private clients and contractor representatives.
• Coordinate with engineers and contractors and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain inspection data and reports using computers/tablets and relevant software.
