City of Westfield, Indiana seeks a General Laborer/Equipment Operator to assist with public works installation, maintenance, and repair projects. You will operate trucks, backhoes and related equipment, perform manual labor, and sometimes lead a crew under supervision. Work hours are 7:30 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with potential overtime, on-call duties, and occasional weekend work. CDL may be required or provided training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to operate trucks, backhoes and related equipment.
• Experience with manual labor and outdoor work in varying weather.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsabilités

• Operate trucks, backhoes and related equipment.
• Use hand tools and small equipment to perform tasks.
• Mow grass and pick up debris; trim trees.
• Weed around signage and intersections.
• Paint street lines and curbs.
• Assist with form setting and concrete pours.
• Help with traffic control at construction sites.
• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with snow and ice control.
• Patch and seal cracks and potholes as needed.
