The City of Green Cove Springs seeks a skilled maintenance worker to operate a variety of light and heavy equipment in the repair and upkeep of streets, parks, and City facilities. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and familiarity with safety procedures.

Responsibilities include performing manual labor, installing and repairing infrastructure, leading a crew when assigned, and responding to after-hour emergencies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of semi-skilled manual labor experience.
• Experience operating moderately heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a wide range of light and heavy equipment for streets, parks and facilities.
• Perform repairs to streets, storm pipes, manholes and sidewalks.
• Load/unload trucks, tow equipment as needed, and assist in maintenance tasks.
• Lead crew as assigned and respond to after-hour emergencies.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
