Job summary

City of Grandview Heights is seeking a safety‑sensitive Equipment Operator to perform a variety of heavy and light vehicle operations and city maintenance tasks. The role requires operating snow plows, dump trucks, loaders, and related gear across streets, parks, and public facilities.

-qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must obtain a State of Ohio CDL within six months. Occupational hazards and outdoor work in all conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience operating listed equipment.
• Valid Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license.
• CDL within six months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow plows, dump trucks, and other listed equipment.
• Haul stone, dirt, asphalt, salt and other street materials.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Dig ditches or perform rough carpentry when not operating vehicles.
• Repair streets, curbs, catch basins, and water/sewer lines.
• Install signs and pour/finish concrete surfaces.
• Maintain parks and city buildings and property.
