Job summary

BrightView in Columbus, OH is seeking a Snow Equipment Operator to join our winter crew. You will learn and perform all aspects of snow removal, operating plows and heavy equipment to keep roads and walkways clear during snow events.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and the willingness to work overnight in wintry conditions. Competitive pay ranges from $20 to $35 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in winter conditions and operate snow equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Removing snow using a snow plow and heavy equipment for several hours at a time, depending on snowfall.
• Being available each time it snows and reporting to a central location or to the jobsite.
• Removing snow in appropriate locations, avoiding trees, shrubs, fire hydrants or sidewalks.
• Reporting any concerns or incidents to your direct Supervisor.
• Filling out a job sheet after each snow removal operation.
• Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety policies.
• Being aware of safety issues or concerns, and reporting them to the Supervisor.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
