Job summary

Clark County Public Works seeks an Engineering Technician with Preservation Management to support engineers in office and field settings. You will perform calculations, asset management for pavements, culverts, and structures, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

• AS in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience; 2-3 years in a related role.
• Basic engineering principles and safety requirements.
• Ability to read plans and specs; operate survey/test equipment; perform research.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of pavements, culverts, structures, and slopes.
• Inspect pavement preservation projects and record data electronically.
• Conduct non-destructive testing with FWD equipment.
• Operate GPR and pavement coring equipment to gather layer information.
• Identify repair areas and measure quantities for bid items.
• Coordinate with GIS for project mapping and communicate with the public.
