Job summary

Quinn Consulting Service, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support highway and bridge construction and maintenance. Responsibilities include materials testing, field surveys, review of plans and specifications, and coordination with utilities and local agencies.

The role requires an associate degree in civil engineering technology and a minimum of two years in a technical civil environment, with emphasis on safety and documentation. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in civil engineering technology or related field.
• At least two years of experience in a civil engineering technical capacity.
• Knowledge of erosion control, safety, and field testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise materials testing in the field and labs.
• Coordinate surveys, layout, and as-built reports for projects.
• Review plans, specs, and bid proposals for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure OSHA safety and provide first aid readiness on site.
• Coordinate traffic controls and detours on job sites.
• Inspect and document compliance with federal, state, and local rules.
