Job summary

Clallam County seeks an Engineer I - EIT to perform professional engineering and project management for public works projects including roads, bridges, drainage, sewer and utility infrastructure.

Under the direction of senior staff, you will manage projects from planning through construction, prepare plans and cost estimates, and coordinate with agencies and the public to deliver safe, cost-effective infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certificate or ability to obtain within six months.
• Valid driver's license for Washington state.
• Ability to perform essential job functions per OSHA/required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering projects from planning and design through permitting, bidding, construction, inspection and completion.
• Prepare plans, cost estimates and reports; coordinate with contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies and the public.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality of public infrastructure projects.
