Job summary

PND Engineers, Inc. in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Civil Engineer / EIT to work on a broad range of waterfront and heavy civil projects across the Pacific Northwest.

Early-career engineers will gain hands-on design experience alongside experienced specialists from initial design through construction. The role emphasizes site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and pro‑rating with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, plus fieldwork, reports, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• FE exam completed and EIT certification, or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
• Experience or interest in civil site design, waterfront, or heavy civil infra structure.
• Experience with AutoCAD and engineering design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering analysis and design for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, calculations, memoranda, and reports.
• Assist with design documents from concept through final construction documents.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop coordinated civil drawings.
• Perform grading, drainage, quantity, and other calculations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary professionals on projects.
• Participate in field investigations, inspections, and surveys.
• Support construction administration and bid documents.
• Travel occasionally for inspections and site assessments.
