Qualifications

Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Medical Examiner's Certificate required on first day of employment.
Pennsylvania Class 1, 4, or 7 Inspection Mechanic Certification required on first day of employment.
Must pass Department of Transportation’s New Mechanic Training during probation.
Active Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) required.
Drug and Alcohol testing per Federal Regulations.

Responsibilities

Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and other major components on vehicles and machinery.
Complete inspections and service routines for preventative maintenance.
Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical problems.
Carry out state inspections to ensure safety compliance.
Make minor adjustments and repairs during field operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
