Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is seeking an Engineer III to assist with engineering system design across multiple projects. You will perform calculations, prepare reports, and develop deliverables while ensuring code compliance and coordinating with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 2–6 years’ engineering experience preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.
• Solid command of core engineering principles and multidisciplinary application.
• Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit required.
• Data interpretation and statistical analysis abilities.
• Working knowledge of project management fundamentals.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and sound engineering judgement.
• Detail-oriented and quality focused; effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation.
• Develops and reviews project documents, specifications, and design options; ensures code compliance through meetings and reviews.
• Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions.
• Coordinates with technicians and staff; assign tasks and checks work for accuracy.
• Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant codes and design standards.
