Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is seeking an Engineer I who, under close supervision, assists with engineering system design across multiple projects by performing design calculations, interpreting reports, and producing deliverable drawings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks and core engineering principles will be developed through hands-on tasks and collaboration with the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• EIT is preferred or pursuing licensure.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
• Familiarity with engineering software tools (CAD/analysis).

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and detailing of engineering systems; write specifications.
• Research design options and document findings.
• Collect data and perform basic computations; prepare drawings.
• Participate in meetings to ensure code compliance; assist site investigations.
• Coordinate with staff and contractors; limited client-facing duties.
