Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) seeks an Engineer III to assist with engineering system design across multiple projects, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and preparing deliverables.

Under general supervision, you will review documents, ensure code compliance, conduct site investigations, and collaborate with technicians, apply standard practices, and develop relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2–6 years’ experience (preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Proficient with core engineering principles and real-world applications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation.
• Develops and reviews project documents, specifications, and design options; ensures code compliance through meetings and reviews.
• Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions.
• Coordinates with technicians and staff; assign tasks and checks work for accuracy.
• Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant codes and design standards.
• Build and develop internal and external relationships
