The City of Waukesha is seeking a Shop Crew Leader to oversee a crew performing maintenance and construction within public works. This role requires strong mechanical skills, organization, and the ability to operate heavy equipment such as backhoes and snowplows.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma, technical training in Diesel Mechanics, and relevant experience in public works. This position operates primarily outdoor with responsibilities ranging from planning crew tasks to overseeing maintenance repairs and managing equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of specialized technical training in Diesel Mechanics.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience, including public works construction.
• Certification as a journeyman mechanic preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plans and coordinates daily job assignments for the crew.
• Operates various construction and maintenance equipment.
• Monitors crew work, providing training and guidance.
