Job summary

The City of Auburn is seeking a Contract Admin Specialist in the Public Works - Engineering department to manage contracts from bidding through completion for municipal development projects.

You will work with project engineers, construction inspectors, contractors, developers, and property owners to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal requirements. This role supports timely, quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of full‑time related work experience.
• Advanced skills and experience in computer programs (Outlook, Word and Excel).
• Any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential elements listed above.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process contract and related legal documents, project correspondence, and coordinate meetings for developer facilities and construction contracts.
• Monitor contractor compliance with grant requirements, regulations, city codes, project specifications, and state statutes.
• Process and track contractor submittals, material documentation, tickets, RFIs, and force account paperwork.
• Prepare and monitor consultant and service agreements, amendments, task assignments and associated documentation.
• Process complex purchase orders; prepare pay estimates and invoices; assist project managers with budgets.
