Job summary

City of Folsom is seeking a Construction Inspector I/II in the Community Development Department. You will inspect workmanship and materials for public and private development projects and ensure conformance with applicable laws, ordinances, and standards.

The role may involve SWPPP inspection and coordination with multiple departments and stakeholders. This non-exempt, full-time position is Monday through Friday and represented by Local 39 IUOE.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction management and inspection requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with SWPPP and storm water inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and workmanship for City capital improvements and private projects.
• Review project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with property owners, developers, and contractors.
