4LEAF, Inc. is a California-based professional services firm specializing in Construction Management, Inspection, Plan Review, Planning, and Environmental services for municipal Public Works and Building Departments throughout the United States.

We are seeking qualified Civil Infrastructure and Public Works Construction Inspectors. The ideal candidate will be able to inspect and document construction means, methods, techniques, and sequences to evaluate the contractor's compliance with the construction documents and effectively communicate updates to the Project Manager or Construction Manager for Civil Infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspections and maintain detailed written and photographic documentation.
• Review plans and specifications continually.
• Coordinate schedules for material inspections, testing, and surveying.
• Provide accurate measured quantities and review pay estimates.
• Maintain 'red-lined' drawings during construction.
• Report discrepancies requiring corrective actions.
• Meet with contractors to review work and schedule inspections.
• Develop and follow up on "Punch List" items.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Public Works Inspector.
• Knowledge of Caltrans' LAPM and experience with federally-funded projects.
• Experience with roadway construction, earthwork, utilities, retaining walls, and traffic signals.
• Proficient in computer skills, communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, and work in adverse weather conditions.

The salary range for this position is $75-$85 per hour, depending on experience and project location.
