Job summary

The City of Prescott is seeking a Construction Inspector in the Public Works Department. This full-time temporary role conducts on-site inspections of water, wastewater, drainage, and street infrastructure to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.

The position requires strong knowledge of inspection techniques, coordination with contractors, and accurate record-keeping. Typical duties include scheduling inspections, evaluating plans, issuing notices, and assisting with emergency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of construction or inspection experience preferred.
• Experience with SWPPP and traffic control inspections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspects new and existing work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Coordinates activities with other departments, contractors, and utilities.
• Maintains inspection records and data; prepares inspection reports.
