Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is looking for an Engineer to design, review, and manage public works infrastructure projects. You will handle plans, specifications, and cost estimates, while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will coordinate with developers, consultants, and government agencies, supervise inspections, and assist in long-range capital planning. A Florida engineering certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Active Engineer in Training or Engineer Intern certification preferred.
• Experience with public works or utilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review estimates, designs, and specs for capital projects.
• Provide project management support from concept to construction.
• Review plans for code conformance and sound engineering principles.
• Monitor permits, inspections, and changes with developers and contractors.
• Coordinate with city, state, and federal agencies on projects.
• Assist in long-range capital improvement planning.
