Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to design and manage public works projects. The role involves reviewing plans, preparing estimates, and coordinating with staff, consultants, and regulatory agencies to deliver capital improvements.

You will supervise inspections, ensure code compliance, and participate in long-range planning. A Florida PE candidate or EIT/Intern certification is preferred, with a valid Florida driver's license and a strong background in public

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years of engineering work related to Public Works/Utilities.
• Engineering in Training or Engineer Intern Certificate from Florida is required.
• Valid Florida Class E driver's license with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review estimates, designs, and specs for capital improvements.
• Provide project management on capital projects.
• Review site/construction plans for codes conformance.
• Review pay requests and change orders.
• Coordinate with consultants and other agencies on projects.
• Assist in long-range capital planning.
• Ensure compliance with Federal/State/local laws and regulations.
