Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Public Works Infrastructure team in Metairie, LA. You will contribute to municipal infrastructure design and delivery, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and public-sector stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in municipal/public works projects, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong communication and documentation skills. A PE license is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 4 years of municipal/public works experience.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience with roadway, drainage, utility projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Strong writing, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for municipal public works projects.
• Perform design and analysis for roadway, drainage, stormwater, water, wastewater, and utility systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting project documentation.
• Coordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, regulatory entities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Assist with permitting efforts and coordination with applicable local, state, and federal agencies.
• Support drainage and stormwater analyses associated with roadway and municipal infrastructure improvements.
• Assist with utility coordination, conflict analysis, and infrastructure rehabilitation planning.
• Participate in project meetings, client coordination, and public works planning discussions.
• Support project scheduling, task management, and overall project delivery efforts.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and support technical development within the team.
