Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer V to join our Public Works team in Houston, TX. You will act as a staff specialist, overseeing complex municipal infrastructure projects and leading design efforts for varied utilities, hydrology, and GIS work.

The role requires a Texas PE license, a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET program, and 7–10 years of experience. You will mentor others, guide proposal teams and ensure technical excellence across projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Texas PE license is required.
7–10 years of related work experience.
Proficient with engineering software and automated design tools; understand system capabilities and limitations.
Client focus, developing others, leading others, and managerial courage.

Responsibilities

Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering assignments of significant scope.
Plans, organizes, and supervises design activities for major projects or multiple projects of size and complexity.
May lead aspects of proposal teams and research teams.
Duties comparable to Engineer IV involving broader scope.
Mentor and supervise Engineers I–IV, CAD and design staff.
