Job summary

The City of Cumberland is seeking an Engineering Specialist in the Division of Engineering. The role oversees administrative functions and the operation and purchase of computer hardware and software, while independently completing complex tasks under minimal supervision.

Reports to the City Engineer and directs CAD technicians doing design, survey and mapping work, researching data for public works projects and producing drawings for City departments.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in technical (design/drafting) training or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in surveying and preparing engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manages administrative functions of the Engineering Division and supervises CAD-related work.
• Operates, maintains, and procures computer hardware/software for the division.
• Directs CAD drafting, drawings and maps for public works and other City departments.
