The role provides project management oversight, supervises staff, coordinates with public utilities, and reports to an Assistant County Manager. Graduation in civil engineering and six years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in civil engineering.
• Six years of professional engineering and supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing engineering functions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee Engineering Department programs and resources.
• Provide comprehensive project management for capital improvement projects.
• Prepare RFQs and coordinate procurement of engineering services.
• Attend meetings to ensure project alignment and success.
• Negotiate contracts and review contractor payments and change orders.
• Conduct site inspections and manage project timelines and quality.
• Supervise staff, hire, assign work, and support professional development.
