City of Antioch is seeking an Assistant Engineer in the Public Works Department's Engineering and Development Services Division to support design, construction and inspection of public improvements for new development.

The role involves reviewing plans, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with other divisions, and may require PE certification; entry-level/ path advancement is available. Salary and benefits information are provided below.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Registration as Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or PE preferred.
• Valid California driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Perform design, construction, and maintenance of public works projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for streets and storm drains.
• Review construction plans and development agreements.
• Provide information to the public and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate engineering work with other divisions and consultants.
