The City of Lancaster is seeking an organized, dependable, and service-oriented Administrative Secretary – Public Works to provide administrative and clerical support to the Public Works Department.
This position works closely with the Director of Public Works and serves as an important point of support for the department by managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining records and files, creating spreadsheets and databases, and assisting with day-to-day administrative needs.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys staying organized, managing multiple priorities, communicating professionally, and helping a busy department stay on track. This position requires attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, adaptability, and the ability to remain productive when priorities change.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate; or one to three months of related administrative, clerical, office support, or similar experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
