Job summary

Goochland County is seeking a Part-Time Attendant to monitor the activities at the County’s Convenience Center and assist the public with trash and recyclables disposal. This position requires weekend work and approximately 25 hours per week with no benefits.

Responsibilities include directing the public, maintaining a clean site, operating disposal equipment, and coordinating waste and recycling activities. A valid Virginia driver's license and the ability to perform physical labor are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the operations of a Convenience Center preferred.
Valid Virginia Driver's License required.
Criminal background check and drug screen required.
Ability to lift 50–100 pounds and perform physical labor in various conditions.

Responsibilities

Monitor activities of the Convenience Center and assist the public with trash and recyclables.
Direct the public to appropriate areas and advise on safe disposal techniques.
Maintain the site in clean and neat order, including landscaping.
Coordinate disposal of waste and recycling and operate disposal equipment.
Schedule switching of containers and manage traffic flow.
Perform other duties as assigned.
