Job summary

City of Port St. Lucie is seeking an experienced Utilities Programs Administrator to develop, implement, and maintain diverse programs for the Utility Systems Department.

You will coordinate public participation, outreach, and collaboration with city partners to advance project goals. This essential position supports emergency management readiness, oversees contractor work, keeps detailed records, and ensures safety standards across water, sewer, and fiber systems.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Utilities required; Utility construction preferred.
• Possession of valid driver’s license and maintenance of clean driving record required with the ability to obtain a valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains diverse programs and projects for the Utility Systems Department.
• Organizes public participation and community outreach to achieve goals.
• Coordinates and monitors day-to-day operations for lower pressure sewer systems.
• Oversees contracts and contracted work as directed.
• Documents, photographs, and reports deficiencies or damages.
