Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Classroom Trainer to deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction for new hires and incumbents in defensive driving and passenger operations. You will cover documentation, route planning, service area familiarization, and emergency procedures as part of operator training.

Responsibilities include screening candidates, community outreach to identify recruits, and providing monthly/annual refresher training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in passenger transportation or similar environment preferred.
• DOT Instructor Course in Bus Operator Training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training in defensive driving and passenger operations.
• Screen and recruit candidates in coordination with clients to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct monthly/annual refresher training on relevant topics.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation of activities.
• Coordinate with client agency personnel to identify training needs and opportunities.
• Assist safety and training department with incident investigations and audits.
• Ensure equipped vehicle operators are available per contract guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with all departments and external stakeholders.
