Delaware County, Ohio is seeking a part-time dispatcher to screen calls and dispatch vehicles to destinations based on trips and driver manifests. You will monitor vehicle locations for safety and on-time performance and schedule same-day trips, with a shift pattern including Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Join a four-person operations team, report to the operations manager, and support drivers with trip information, safety concerns, and passenger needs.
Dispatcher screens incoming calls and dispatches vehicles to the appropriate destinations based on pre-arranged and on-demand trip requests. Monitors the location of vehicles in service to ensure driver safety and on-time performance for scheduled trips. Schedule same-day trips to driver manifests. Respond to, resolve or assist in resolving issues that arise with drivers in service.
The part-time dispatcher works with a collaborative team of four and reports to the operations manager. Must be available to work from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 7:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Saturday; and have flexibility to cover for vacations and call outs.A high school diploma or GED is required. Must possess a valid Ohio driver license and have an acceptable driving record. The part-time dispatcher must be adaptable to a flexible work schedule.
