Job summary

LeeTran, part of Lee County Government, seeks a reliable bus driver to transport passengers safely on assigned routes in Lee County, FL. You will provide excellent customer service, assist passengers with disabilities, and ensure daily reports and safety checks are completed.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, with a preference for one year of driving heavy vehicles. You must follow DOT rules and maintain a safe driving record, while working shifts that may include evenings and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of driving buses or heavy vehicles preferred.
• Able to work safely and follow DOT drug and alcohol rules.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must pass safety checks and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses, trolleys, trams, or passenger vans on assigned routes.
• Provide assistance to passengers with disabilities or limited mobility.
• Collect fares and give excellent customer service.
• Check vehicles daily and perform small maintenance tasks.
• Complete daily reports and paperwork.
• Follow all safety rules and traffic laws.
• Work alone or with the team as needed.
• Assist during emergencies or special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
