Job summary

Lipscomb University Center for Speaking and Writing (CSW) seeks peer writing and speaking consultants who are current Lipscomb students to help with public speeches and presentations at all levels. Consultants will provide feedback to strengthen delivery, message, and confidence during sessions, and may be federal work study eligible.

After training, staff work 3–10 hours per week assisting students, teaching workshops, tutoring one-on-one, and attending mandatory staff meetings and development

Qualifications

• Must be a current Lipscomb University student
• May be federal work study eligible
• Must have passed the POWERS sequence, EN1223 or CO 1223 with a ‘B’ or better
• Enjoy working with others
• Maintain professionalism with peers

Responsibilities

• Tutoring university students one-on-one
• Teaching workshops (including class visits)
• Attending mandatory staff meetings and staff development before each semester begins
