State College TownePlace Suites by Marriott State College is hiring for an on-site housekeeping role. Join our opening team and help establish guest experience standards across an 89-suite extended-stay property in Happy Valley.

The position offers flexible shifts, training, and opportunity to grow within Shaner Hotels’ expanding portfolio. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of cleaning experience, strong guest service skills, and the ability to handle chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean hotel public areas as assigned, ensuring established cleanliness standards.
• Maintain daily cleanliness and quality across assigned spaces.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and guest requests or complaints promptly.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Observe all house, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift; perform deep/seasonal cleaning as scheduled.
